iPhone Footprit

Apple selling one million iPhone 3GS in three days was just the prelude, one month down the line we have more stunning 3GS sales announcement.

iphone-3g-s-and-iphone-3gApple just announced that they have successfully sold 5.2 million 3GS units till date. 3GS inventory is running low with demands outpacing production. Out of the 80 countries where Apple has launched 3G only 18 countries got the 3GS.

Apple’s Chief Operating Officer said that the other 62 countries would get the 3GS by the end of September.

We all know that Apple is futuristic in their approach. The company introduced the and iPod touch when they foresee that the demand for their iPod would one day deminish. The company refreshed their lines to keep competing with products of other companies that could beat the .

The 3GS is the king of smartphones for now. This fact has not made Apple to rest even for a while. 4G is already in the air again. This is not a rumor but a confirmed piece of information that comes with a sad note.

According to reports 25 year old Sun Danyong, an employee at Foxconn commited suicide after being interrogated and physically abused when a prototype of the 4G went missing. Sun jumped out of a 12 story building unable to bear the humiliation of the abuse.
